Aon Insights Series Pacific 2024 took place on 15-16 October at The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne, with over 350 C-Suite, Risk, and HR leaders in attendance.

On day one, Professor Ian Harper provided an economic update, retired Major General Paul Symon discussed geopolitical risks and Olympic coach Dean Boxall shared insights on team motivation and leadership. Jason Disborough led a C-Suite discussion with Mirvac’s Courtenay Smith and Healthscope’s Victoria Atkinson on risk mitigation strategies and Veolia presented an international case study on resilience. Aon leaders shared the impact of the four Megatrends on the risk landscape and the innovative solutions being developed. There were also risk and human capital sessions on the Australian (Re)Insurance Market and Managing Data Risk, as well as equitable outcomes in pay, health, retirement, and wellbeing, and the potential for a National Workers’ Compensation scheme.

On day two, masterclasses offered new solutions and tools on the topics discussed the day before. The newly introduced Innovation Hub showcased Aon’s latest analytical tools: Property Risk Analyser, Health Risk Analyser, Climate Risk Monitor, and D&O Decoder.

“The Aon Insights Series is an important event in my annual diary. It’s an opportunity to network with likeminded professionals.
The focused subject matters provide real life insights into challenges and achievements of organisations and the way
in which risk management plays an important role in the lifecycle of business.”
