In April 2022, the Security of Critical Infrastructure Act 2018 (Cth) (SOCI Act) was significantly expanded to apply to 11 “critical infrastructure sectors” and 22 “critical infrastructure assets”. With this, reporting obligations have also changed, meaning failing to comply might lead to penalties or enforcement actions.
