Angela San Diego, National Aged Care Practice leader, Aon

Angela San Diego began her insurance career in 1997 as an underwriter, before transitioning to broking, where she was recognised with the Young Professional Broker Award by the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance. With over 27 years of experience in insurance and finance, including 23 years as a risk and insurance adviser for the Aged Care sector. Angela has held leadership roles at leading international broking firms. She currently leads Aon’s National Aged Care Industry Practice Group, where she manages insurance and risk programs for a diverse portfolio of global and local clients. Angela is known for providing tailored risk insights, education, and advocacy, and for addressing key industry challenges such as property and cyber risk, workforce shortages, and regulatory reforms, including the new Aged Care Act.

Katya Lando, National Professional Indemnity Practice Leader, Aon

Katya has specialised as a financial lines broker since entering the industry in 2006, bringing over 10 years’ experience in the development of insurance policy wordings. Katya has supported a broad range of clients across various industries, including Aged Care. Katya primary focus has been on financial lines policies, particularly Professional Indemnity insurance, she also has experience drafting casualty wordings, training and conducting insurance reviews of commercial contracts.

Daniel Sayers, Placement Director, Aon

Daniel Sayers is a Placement Director within Aon’s Global & Corporate Financial Specialties Group. Daniel has been actively involved in designing and placing financial lines programs for a diverse range of clients. His core areas of expertise include Professional Indemnity, Directors’ & Officers’ Liability and Statutory Liability.

Chris Spain, Partner, Head of Health, Wotton Kearney

Chris Spain is a Partner at Wotton Kearney and leads the health practice. Chris represents medical practitioners, allied health professionals, healthcare organisations, and aged care facilities in the full range of legal issues affecting the sector. This includes employment disputes, medical negligence proceedings, coronial inquests, and disciplinary and regulatory investigations. Chris previously managed a nationwide portfolio of professional indemnity and employment practices claims for direct and brokered clients in the healthcare, aged care and education sectors while working in-house at Catholic Church Insurance.

Ashlee Sherman, Senior Associate of Health, Wotton Kearney

Ashlee Sherman is a Senior Associate at Wotton Kearney and represents doctors, allied health professionals, medical practices, and aged care facilities in a wide range of claims. This includes civil proceedings, preparing Coronial statements and instructing at inquests, advising in relation to Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) notifications and other regulatory investigations, and representing health practitioners in matters involving the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
